A 10 miles (16km) moderate circular walk with some steep slopes. Make sure you walk around and check out all the public rooms including the magnificent staircase. But the upside is the beautiful old towns like Penrith, Keswick, Bowness and Ambleside (I could keep going for paragraphs here) are all beautifully preserved.
